Orlík Castle

Orlík Castle is an impressive neo-Gothic fortress majestically perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the Orlík Reservoir. Known for its striking architecture and the extensive park that surrounds the entire complex, the castle offers visitors richly decorated interiors featuring art collections, historic weapons, and trophies.

Originally built in the Gothic style, the castle underwent a neo-Gothic reconstruction in the 19th century, which can be explored today. The castle terrace provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Vltava River and the picturesque countryside beyond.

Within the northern part of the castle park stands the Schwarzenberg Tomb, a solemn neo-Gothic two-story building from the mid-19th century. Although the tomb is not open to the public, its peaceful exterior and surroundings leave a lasting impression.

Visitors to Orlík Castle can enjoy leisurely walks through the romantic park and take sightseeing cruises from the pier below the castle, discovering the natural and historic beauty of South Bohemia from the water.
