Protivín

The town of Protivín is best known for its beer, brewed at the local Platan brewery, which was established in 1598. The brewery’s name comes from the twin rows of plane trees lining the path to its gate. Visitors can enjoy beer tastings in a cozy restaurant located right next to the brewery.

A major attraction in Protivín is the unique Crocodile Zoo, home to the largest collection of crocodiles in the Czech Republic, drawing visitors of all ages.
